Dominican sprinter Alexander Ogando made it with 19.98 to the finals of the 200m event in the World Athletics Championship taking place in Tokyo, Japan. He will next compete in the finals on 19 September at 10pm Dominican time.
His contenders are:
Noah Lyles (USA), Bryan Levell (Jamaica), Kenneth Bednarek (USA), Letside Tebogo (Botswana), Zharnel Hughes (Great Britain), Sinesipho Dambile (South Africa), Tapiwanashe Marakarawu (Zimbabwe).
Ogando is coached by Felix Sanchez, the Dominican Republic’s two-time Olympic gold medal winner.
The men’s final is scheduled for 19 September at 10pm RD time.
