The Metropolitan Office of Bus Services (Omsa) has temporarily suspended borrowing for the purchase of its vehicles on its routes, citing a comprehensive legal and administrative audit. The agency announced the measure, which it says is a move toward improving the quality of its services, as reported in Diario Libre. The measure is one of the first announced by Omsa, now under highly-reputed Oneximo Gonzalez.
In a press release, Omsa stated it “appeals to the understanding of all who have historically benefited from a unit of the institution to carry out some institutional, social, or other activity.” The agency noted that it hopes to reinstate the service once the audit is complete.
