Grupo Martinon announced it is going forward with the construction of beach property in Bergantin, the new tourism and residential development east of Playa Dorada in Puerto Plata on the north coast.

Bergantin management had earlier announced the Spanish capital company was looking at investing more than US$180 million in the development in Puerto Plata.

Grupo Martinon already operates several hotels on the East Coast along the Punta Cana beach area and a hotel in Santo Domingo.
