The Chamber of Accounts (Cámara de Cuentas), the Dominican Republic’s top government auditing agency, announced the release of four new audit reports, increasing the total number of reports approved under its current administration to 36.

The full body of the Chamber of Accounts approved the new reports during its 17th ordinary session held on 19 September 2025, El Nacional reports.

The newly published audits cover significant public and political entities, focusing on their financial and budgetary management over varying periods:• National Veteran Citizens Party (PNVC): Audited for the period between 1 January 2010, and 31 December 2017.• National Aquarium (Acuario Nacional): Examined the financial statements covering the years 2012 to 2015.• Santiago Municipal Council (Ayuntamiento Municipal de Santiago): Focused on budget execution from 2013 to 2015.• National Police (Policía...
