Marriott is promoting the new W Punta Cana located in Uvero Alto, in northern Punta Cana.

The hotel is an adults-only resort. It is a short distance from El Macao surfers’ beach and eco visits to the Laguna Nisibon and Playa La Vacama. The project is a Grupo Punta Cana US$160 million investment.

President Luis Abinader was at the hotel for the formal inauguration on Sunday, 5 October 2025 that was hosted by the top executives of Punta Cana Group, founder Frank Rainieri and his son, chief executive officer Frank Elias Rainieri.

During his weekly 6 October 2025 press conference, President Abinader proudly touted that the W Punta Cana is Marriott’s first all-inclusive luxury resort of the W brand.
