The General Tax Agency (DGII) officially began the renewal period for the Vehicle Circulation Tax (Marbete) 2025-2026 on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, calling on vehicle owners to comply promptly to avoid penalties.

The agency announced that the process applies to 2,086,756 eligible vehicles, with an estimated revenue target of RD$3,433,806,000.00.

The cost of the annual vehicle permit (el marbete) remains the same as the previous period, based on the vehicle’s manufacturing year:RD$1,500.00 for vehicles manufactured up to the year 2020.RD$3,000.00 for vehicles manufactured from 2021 onwards.
