José Ángel Gómez Canaán, widely known as Jochi, is accused of utilizing at least seven companies he owned or was closely linked to in the execution of alleged crimes that include sabotage of the Santo Domingo traffic light network, terrorism, money laundering, fraud against the state, and criminal association, according to the formal indictment presented by the Public Ministry, Diario Libre highlights after the indictment was made.

Gómez Canaán, who is indicted alongside former National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) director Hugo Beras and several others, reportedly employed these companies to secure what the prosecution describes as fraudulent contracts with Intrant.
