During the current Abinader administration, the director of Senasa, Santiago Hazim, recently resigned amidst findings of major corruption within the government health insurance.

The recent audit carried out by the Chamber of Accounts reveals significant irregularities in years back. The Chamber of Accounts has yet to present any findings of auditing into the Hazim administration.
