Arajet announced free repatriation and relief bringing flights for Dominicans impacted by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. Arajet offers regular service to Jamaica that is now suspended. Arajet has also announced that passengers booked on flights to and from Jamaica will be able to reschedule their travel at no additional cost for the next 15 days.

The first relief flight was on Saturday, 1 November 2025. A second flight is scheduled for Tuesday, 4 November.

The director of Social Assistance and Community Food (DASAC) of the Dominican government oversaw the Arajet air cargo of 1.5 million food rations, mattresses, sheets, towels, blankets, mosquito nets, and other assistance to Jamaica, the island that bore the brunt of Melissa’s Cat. 5 fury.
