The Dominican Republic’s National Police (Policía Nacional) officially rolled out its new uniform design this Tuesday, 4 November 2025, an update the institution says is central to its ongoing “reform, modernization, and transformation” plan. The institution stressed that the change is not just aesthetic, but fundamentally structural.

The color choice is explained. 90% of police forces worldwide use the color blue. The blue color is a statement of being aligned with international police standards to change the citizen perception.
