The tragic death of an 11-year old Haitian girl, a student at an expensive private school in Santiago, has become a Pandora Box. The mother of the child, Loveli Raphael Joseph, took her case to the media after she could not get a straight story straight on what happened leading to the drowning of her daughter during a school outing of the Instituto de Desarrollo Integral Leonardo Da Vinci from the school nor from the justice department authorities in Santiago. The media reported and the headlines followed.

The mother was then received by Attorney General Yeni Berenice Reynoso in Santo Domingo, and Vice President Raquel Pena, who is from Santiago, motivated the authorities to find out what was not being told.
