The Leones del Escogido (10.5 games behind), Estrellas Orientales (11.5 games behind) and Gigantes del Cibao (12 games behind) are battling it out for the fourth position to move beyond the regular season in the 2025-26 Dominican Winter Professional Baseball Championship. The regular season ends on 23 December 2025.

So far, the Aguilas have ensured their presence in the tournament’s round robin. The Toros del Este (La Romana) are 4.5 games away from the first place, and the Tigres del Licey are third, some 9.5 games behind.

In the Sunday 14 December 2025 games, the Escogido improved its positioning and grabbed the fourth position after defeating the Gigantes, the team that is in the last position.
