Two Michelin star Chef Maria Marte will be cooking at the Hotel Embajador as part of a Three Kings Day benefit for Dominican children and Fundacion La Merced in northern Santo Domingo. The several course dinner is scheduled for 5 January 2026 from 6:30 to 9pm.

The Foundation works to eradicate child labor and maintains a community of 600 children and adolescents who receive classes, health and nutrition services. Tickets to contribute to the cause and enjoy a memorable dinner are RD$12,000.

Born in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, Maria Marte migrated to Spain in 2003, and found work as a cleaning woman at El Club Allard. She would work her way up to Head Chef.

She is the only woman in Spain and Latin America to achieve two Michelin stars while leading a kitchen at El Club Allard.
