Dominican military, police, and naval units were successful in capturing yet another “fast boat” that was running drugs across the Caribbean. After a grueling 15-hour chase, authorities captured two men, whose nationalities were not reported, along with 863 packs of drugs, probably cocaine. In layman’s terms this is not quite a ton of cocaine.

The pursuit came to an end off the coast of Cabo Rojo in the far Southwest, in Pedernales province. Carlos Devers, the spokesman for the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD), reported that units of the Dominican Armada, and the Dominican Air Force tracked and pursued the small craft for many hours until it was stopped and seized. Aboard were the 863 blocks, of what is probably cocaine, kept in 26 large fiber sacks, along with communication devices and other stuff.
