President Luis Abinader and Minister of Tourism David Collado officially inaugurated the Plaza Multiuso Seibana “Eduardo Lima” on Friday, 16 January 2026. Built with an investment of over RD$430 million, this state-of-the-art cultural and bullfighting arena is designed to serve as a major cultural anchor for the province of El Seibo and its fast-growing coastal gem, Miches, located about an hour north from the Punta Cana International Airport.

The inauguration marks a strategic milestone for the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur). As Miches emerges as the country’s next world-class luxury destination, the new arena provides the “complementary offer” that modern travelers seek, blending sun-and-beach luxury with authentic inland traditions.
