The Dominican Republic, represented by the the Leones del Escogido, won game 1 during the Caribbean Series being played at the Estadio Panamericano in Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara, in Jalisco, Mexico. The DR defeated the Red Team of Mexico 5-4.

The Caribbean Series that matches teams from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Panama.

The 2026 Caribbean Series will now be hosted by the Charros de Jalisco of the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico. The event features the champions of Puerto Rico’s LBPRC, the Dominican Republic’s LIDOM, both finalists from Mexico’s LAMP, and a team representing Panama. The Caribbean Series schedule is from 1 to 7 February 2026.
