The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) of the Dominican Republic has officially authorized the resumption of regular commercial flights between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, ending a suspension that had been in place since July 2024.

According to Resolution 24-26, issued during an extraordinary session on 2 February 2026, the JAC approved the reactivation of air transport operations for passengers, cargo, and mail. This move follows a bilateral agreement reached between both governments to restore air connectivity, which was abruptly halted nearly two years ago following diplomatic tensions.

The authorization includes several airlines that previously operated these routes. Venezuelan carriers such as LASER, Avior, RUTACA, Turpial, and RAV S.A. (Venezolana) are slated to return, alongside Dominican-based airlines including Sky High Aviation and Red Air.
