President Luis Abinader is convinced that the Dominican Republic is on a definitive path to doubling the size of its economy by 2036, citing institutional stability and a diversified growth model as the primary engines for this ambitious goal.

Participating in the High-Level Presidential Panel “Latin America’s New Chapter: What’s Next?” at the 2026 World Government Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, 4 February, Abinader joined counterparts Santiago Peña of Paraguay and Daniel Noboa of Ecuador to discuss the region’s economic and political trajectory.
