The “magic” of Disney is officially setting a course for the Dominican Republic.

In a landmark development for the country’s maritime tourism, Disney Cruise Line has confirmed its first-ever arrivals in Puerto Plata, scheduled for October and November 2026. The Disney Dream will dock at the Taíno Bay port in the city of Puerto Plata.

The announcement was made by Mauricio Hamuy, CEO of Taino Bay port on the radio program, El Sol de la Manana. He emphasized that the inclusion of the North Coast in Disney’s elite itinerary is no accident. “For a company like Disney to bring its ships, with children and families, it is because the tourists feel comfortable and safe,” Hamuy stated. “That is not a coincidence; it is a clear sign of confidence in the security, the infrastructure, and the tourist experience that this destination offers.”
