Jean Alain Rodríguez / Noticias SIN
A National District judge rejected a request by former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodriguez who had sought permission to travel to Spain for a medical appointment. The judge said he did not file the request correctly. Rodriguez is being tried in the National District judiciary for corruption when in office. On previous occasions he had also attempted to leave the country and was impeded to do so at the airport.
His case has been long in the judiciary. Sources primarily note his defense has instrumented several procedures to delay the hearings.
