The New York Mets have placed star outfielder Juan Soto on the 10-day injured list (IL) due to a right calf strain. The move, announced on 06 April 2026, is retroactive to 4 April 2026. While initial evaluations suggested the 27-year-old might avoid a long-term absence, an MRI confirmed the strain, and the club now expects a recovery timeline of two to three weeks.
The injury occurred during the first inning of the 3 April 2026 game against the San Francisco Giants.
