Not much is new in Haiti. The ongoing violent control of gangs continues.
It was revealed that a Belgian Air Force A400M military transport aircraft was fired upon during a flight conducted as part of a United Nations (UN) peacekeeping mission in Haiti. The incident once again highlights the security risks on Hispaniola island.?The military transport aircraft was carrying approximately 80 soldiers from Santo Domingo to Port-au-Prince and was found to have bullet marks on its tail once it landed in Port-au-Prince. It is assessed that the aircraft was targeted before landing, and no crew injuries were reported. The incident was confirmed by the Belgian Ministry of Defense.
