Judge Raymundo Mejia of the First Instruction Court of the National District rejected that former JetSet employee and the club’s roof collapse survivor Gregory Adames present evidence that could serve to elevate the responsibility of the nightclub owners in the collapse.

During yesterday’s session on 27 April 2026, Judge Mejía ratified his decision to prohibit the testimony of Gregory Adames during this preliminary phase, ruling that such testimony belongs in a potential trial on the merits rather than the evidence-evaluation stage.

Nevertheless, Adames gave insights into what he said the owners knew about the vulnerabilities of the roof and actions that could have been taken in time to prevent the 236 deaths and 180 injured on 8 April 2025.
