The Ministry of Housing and Edifications (Mivhed) has announced significant strides in modernizing the construction permitting process, an initiative aimed at reducing turnaround times, simplifying procedures, and strengthening transparency in the technical evaluations of real estate projects across the Dominican Republic.

The announcement was made during a strategic meeting between ministry authorities and members of the Association of Builders and Developers of La Altagracia Province (ADECLA). At the gathering, developers and construction sector representatives from the nation’s most active tourism hub presented concerns and proposals regarding the approval processes for works in the eastern region.
