The “Destination City” of Cap Cana in eastern Punta Cana is preparing to host the third annual Ironman 70.3 Cap Cana from 16 to 18 May 2026. This year’s edition is on track to become the largest to date, further cementing the Dominican Republic’s status as a premier hub for sports tourism in the Caribbean and the Punta Cana area as a leading sports destination for international events.

According to event organizers, the competition will bring together more than 1,000 athletes representing approximately 60 countries. This steady growth in international registration follows the successful foundations laid during the 2024 and 2025 editions.
