The Ministry of Interior and Police announced on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, that Haitian national Dimitri Albert Edouard Vorbe is barred from entering the Dominican Republic. The decision reinforces the government’s stance that it will not accept Haitian citizens under the recently signed Third Country National (TCN) relocation agreement with the United States.

According to a statement released by the Ministry via social media, Vorbe has been subject to an active entry ban since 13 October 2025. The restriction was issued based on a notification from the National Intelligence Agency (DNI) and executed by the General Migration Agency (DGM).

The Minister of Interior and Police, Faride Raful, confirmed the measure, stating:
