Beginning 24 August 2026, President Luis Abinader will introduce a revised the format of the “LA Agenda Semanal” (The Weekly Agenda), transitioning away from the traditional in-person “LA Semanal con la Prensa” press conferences to one where it knows beforehand what is asked.

Scheduled for Mondays at 5pm, the Presidency announces the new platform focuses on structured evaluations of government management, tracking key indicators, reviewing administrative progress, and addressing pending commitments alongside cabinet ministers and directors.

Under the updated operational guidelines announced by Alberto Caminero, director of Information and Press of the Presidency, this initial stage will operate entirely via live streaming without physical access for journalists, media workers, opinion leaders, or influencers inside the Presidential Palace.
