Minister of Tourism David Collado, together with the head of VialRD, the consortium that handles tolls programs, has launched a massive plan to provide easy-to-understand signage for tourists and locals alike along the major thoroughfares of the republic.

The signs will also direct people to major attractions all over the country, including beaches, points of interest and important places such as hospitals.

As is to be expected, this program will begin in La Altagracia province (Punta Cana), and then will be expanded to El Seibo (Miches) Puerto Plata (Playa Dorada, Sosua and Cabarete), Samana (Las Terrenas, Las Galeras), Pedernales (Bahia de las Aguilas and Cabo Rojo), Maria Trinidad Sanchez (Cabrera) and Santiago.
