A 25-year old woman drowned and another 29-year old man, who almost drowned, is hospitalized as the tragic outcome of a catamaran overturn in the evening in the Salinas beach in Peravia province on Sunday, 23 August 2026 in the evening. The 12 passengers of the boat were not wearing life vests. As reported, the boat clashed when the captain of the boat missed the landing. The young woman drowned when she found herself under the capsized boat. The case is under investigation.
