The Chamber of Deputies has approved five loans on 28 and 29 July 2021 for more than US$339 million. The loans are with bilateral or multilateral agencies.
The loans are:US$39 million from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the Implementation of the Energy Efficiency Program of the Dominican Republic.
US$50 million with the IDB to finance the Agricultural Health and Innovation Project.
US$100 million with the IDB for the Program for the Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Port of Manzanillo in the Dominican Republic.
US$50 million addendum to the credit agreement signed with the French Development Agency (AFD) to increase the transportation capacity of Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metro.
