Mad Max...You are wrong. I have talked with people who has all there money with Alberto and are borrowing money to survive. Im not going to use there names but I know a person who returned to Canada to find work.Another is leaving the end of the month.Another is plannning on returning to USA and live with his daughter.Alberto has caused huge amounts of stress in many peoples lifes. I know a man who gave Alberto $130,000 eight weeks ago.Did Alberto tell him of the companys problem? NO he took the cash, smiled and shook his hand.He never made a single intrest payment. We need the world media to get involved to show what happens when doing buisness here. Then the DR goverment will have to do something. I dont know how to do this. Does anyone have an idea how?

You really have faith in the uncorruptability of the DR Govt.?????

IMO involving DR govt at any level will only lead to the politicos, govt depts, lawyers and their cronies carving up the pie to line their own pockets.

DGII will be rubbing their hands at the thought of many years of unpaid taxes and will be treated as a priority creditor, ahead of the investors, same as all over the world.

Who wins in that scenario?????

Really, you are a drama queen.

Who exactly has 'lost their entire life savings'?????

Seems to me that to date, although investors are not getting their interest payments, and may be faced with making choices regarding trading their money for real estate, precisely no-one has lost a single penny of their investment principal.

Care to contradict that? I won't hold my breath.

you do not need to hold your breath for long, because i am right here. drama queen, you assert? tell that to the guys who have had to pack up and go back to the USA and Canada, because they had their ENTIRE life savings bound up in this venture, and now have no money to pay the rent, nor to buy food. you think that is hyperbolic? why don?t you try it, sometime? when i give you all the money i worked for, most of my adult life, and you offer me, in return, some piece of land behind God?s back, i consider myself to have lost. now, in order to get some liquidity, i have to sell this property, maybe in a fire sale. we all know about the little matter of dead capital in the DR, wherein so many properties have limitless ownership ecumbrances. so, go ahead, and trivialize the debacle that these people find themselves in. i myself have not lost a penny, but i can empathize with my fellow man. what i accord to myself,, i accord unto others, and i would sure as heck not like to find myself in such a morass, and have people who empathize with me being characterized as drama queens. i declare you pitiful.

Not trivialising anything, unlike you, I am an investor, so I am trying it and empathising. Big time.

Your comments now show that your earlier statement 'lost their entire life savings' is not exactly accurate, doesn't it?

I hear 'oh woe is me, I've lost all my money' all time on the streets here on the North Coast over the past few weeks and it ****es me off.

Because the reality, albeit far from ideal, is that nothing is further from the truth so please stick to facts here and don't make up **** just to suit your agenda.

But anyway, thank you for making my point so eloquently for me

It would help if the "real" investors identify themselves in the thread, then it makes it easier for me to delete the trolls or others stirring up BS. Send me a PM if it's easier.

A friend of mine has pointed me to this forum. It makes for interesting reading. Hopefully in future I will be able to contribute some useful information here.

I think the last thing US citizens need is the IRS getting a hold of this, Not only their money would be gone they would have a lot of back taxes to pay .

Trolls being the operative word although there seem to be more recent posters taking the Anoeca side other than the side of the real losers of this shambolic episode. Do not forget, hundreds have lost EVERYTHING.
I don't think many "real" investors want to publicly vent their anger on an open forum for fear of reprisal - which I guess would make it easy for the thread to be discontinued, then again, maybe that's the goal of the 'certain' individuals that may well be back on the Anoeca payroll.

I think if you have anything helpful to add we might all appreciate it sooner rather than later.

I don't have anything to add right now except the one fact that Alberto has nothing to do with La Rocka any more. It is now owned by a Dominican in Santiago who owns a string of cabanas throughout DR.

my comments show nothing, in regard to people losing their life savings. i know people who have. i do not intend to get into a ****ing contest with a guy who responds to a factual posting i made, by calling me a drama queen. i was not disrespectful in the manner in which i addressed you. i have no dog in the fight, therefore, i have no agenda, as you suggest might you hazard a guess as to what this agenda that you assert to could be? i bear no personal animosity towards Noesi, and his cohorts, so what agenda could i possible have? be careful when you go throwing aspersions around, without any means of substantiation. it is not become of an adult.

Several years ago I was informed by ANOECA management that one challenge ANOECA had was to transition all the properties from private Alberto ownership to corporate ownership. This is is sharp contrast to what is being stated here and now. I don,t know just what the truth is.

It is too bad, if indeed true, that La Roca is not owned. It would have been a superior source of capital exchange thru the condominiumizing of the property. Maybe that could be done with other properties, Mountainview and the property near Playa Dorado.

that is all i was trying to convey in my posting, which seems to have animated some fury in this thread. if he was really the owner, and could be legally forced to part it out, maybe some of the victims would at least be afforded the solace of a roof over their heads.

Monfongo....We've been paying taxes on our investment income from here. Now I want my money back from the IRS since all I've really received is part of my original principle. THAT won't happen!

The victims of Bernie Madoff were permitted to amend their returns, and take a tax write-off on the lost principle. I am not sure how this would work with ANOECA as he does not give you a 1099, just a statement. - Good Luck on that.

Im wondering how many people are still investing with Alberto.A friend of mine gave him $130,000 U.S. the day befor he sent out the e-mail stateing that he wasnt paying any more interst. I know it is hard to admit, but if you will contact me maybe it will help anothers friends court case. When one person wins, it will be easier for the next person to win.You can contact me at schautbill
This is a made up site for dealing with Alberto. Yesterday I looked at the list of land Alberto has to offer. One third has leans against them and most of the others, are in the middle of no where. What happened to the gas stations , hotels, apartments and condos he said he owed. Why did his home in Costanza suddenly go into someone elses name. He wants you to take his property mistakes so he can walk away.

Changing names on titles in coincidence with these troubles is another fraud and will not stand up in court... Even here.

The results of audits by investors should be released to all investors. Including list of all assets and title copies, all cash deposits, overhead payments, all transfers of funds and property for the last 3 years, names of auditors, and more. How about Mountainview, the main office, Playa Dorado, and more.
