Currently 25c/77f in Casa de Campo.
Breakfast poolside. No riots. No looting. No zombies.
I believe RD businesses should be opened.
I believe the 5pm/6am curfew should remain in effect.
I believe international travel can wait.
I believe I am going to have a lovely day.
A great post.

By the way, the MEPyD who had that 5 step reopening schedule up and then taken down? They say it is unofficial. Oh well. We wait for the official one. Yesterday there was a request from hardware store owners to the government to allow them to open.

Are there any riots and looting happening outside of your Casa de Campo community? the rest of DR? just wondering. I'm hopeful that I could be lounging by my DR pool this summer as well if it is safe to fly in and country opens up.

They already started saying "life is going back to normal" but it doesn't matter if the life goes to normal I think the people will always live up to the corona for a couple of years maybe then people will forget about it and just move on.

No, in fact, there are no riots or looting occurring any place within the entire country for that matter (as was predicted by some).
I spent much of the last week traveling along the southern coast checking on my employees, and their families in person. I am happy to report that all are well, both medically and financially.

That's good news! Hopefully it will never come to riots or looting in DR.

Map of Covid-19 confirmed cases so far in all countries of the Americas except some parts of the northern of USA and all of Canada is excluded. Divisions are at a national level, except Puerto Rico which doesn't have any since the whole island is one division).

The Catholic Church held a blessing of Santo Domingo from the air to end soon the Covid-19 epidemic. The blessing took place with a priest from Santo Domingo riding an Armed Forces helicopter (aka, owned by the government) over the city. It must be said that the Catholic Church is the official religion of the DR and the Dominican government.

I received it tonight glossy and polished, the same content but after PR polished it.

seems it was published or its now so widely distributed that everyone has it.

How did you receive it? Is it possible to share the "bright and shiny" version? And most importantly, is it "official"?
