I read up on it back when during the pandemic when the Doctor in Puerto Plata recommended it.

FWIW, I believe he passed away due to COVID at a later date. In any case, I still believe in its efficacy.

In case anyone doesn't already know, Ivermectin is widely available here in the DR and, I can't remember the price, but it is relatively inexpensive.

The pandemic hit DR too, Ivermectin is sold in DR too, many people participating in this thread live in DR too, plus I've heard it's good to take Ivermectin right after you eat a sancocho, so that's a huge DR connection right there!

Ivermectin is a very well used and I'm betting DR is one of the countries which sells the most of it per capita outside of Africa.

It was the world’s first endectocide, forerunner of a completely new class of antiparasitic agents, potently active against a wide range of internal and external nematodes and arthropods.

It can eliminate scabies - a common skin issue spread in Dominican schools. My step daughter and many in her school had it.

It is effective against a wide range of parasites, including gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, mites, lice and hornflies. Ivermectin is also highly effective against ticks.

It is used in stock herds throughout the world including DR.

And your pet dog should be a regular user.

If I need to take a medication if I eat a certain food, I would not eat that food. Chicharrónes, I have never really been a fan of or beer for that matter. If it is only for the NC, then I guess I am safe in Santo Domingo.

They are constantly discovering that Ivermectin is effective for a wide range of diseases. I've heard it's effective against dengue which is very common in the DR. I've seen kit on the shelves of many pharmacies, so it's apparently widely used here in the DR.
