we plan a two week visit beginning next week, what are our options for travel from the POP region to samana, las galeras and/or las terrenas

My wife and I plan to fly to POP and relax on the North shore for a couple of weeks - we stayed in Las Terrenas a few years ago. it was great but i'd like to hear about other perhaps quieter areas with good beaches. we aren't interested in full service resorts. Thanks for any tips.

My wife and i are thinking about another trip to the DR. We loved Las Terrenas and the Aloha. Any recent info?? We heard good things about Nagua. I'd appreciate some up to date info on quiet, clean, inexpensive accomodations.
