Dangerous? I don't think the Colonial Zone is dangerous. I can think of plenty of other words to describe it, I think it is more run-down and sad looking than ever before, but dangerous isn't a word I would use.

I was told that there is no sewage system at all in Ciudad Juan Bosch, all those new apartments that they have built have septicos. If this is true (and I was told by a construction engineer) it's beyond a joke.

I would suspect these aren't in Santo Domingo. Places used to try that in SD but now even the Colmados have to report sales and pay ITBIS, even the Chinese places have to pay.
