Arajet flies to new airport in Mexico; announces flight to Monterrey

Dominican airline Arajet announces it has started flights from Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) to Mexico with a first flight to the Felipe Angeles International Airport (NLU) in Mexico City. The airline is flying three days a week to Mexico City – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing at 7:15am and arriving in Mexico City at 10:40am.

Felipe Ángeles International Airport, the second airport serving the Mexico City metropolitan area, is brand new. The airport opened on 21 March 2022. The airport is located in Zumpango, State of Mexico, 48.8 kilometers north-northeast of the historic center of Mexico City by car. A route of direct bus lines connects the airport to many points throughout Mexico City.

Arajet also announces direct flights to Monterrey, Mexico will start on Friday, 30 September with two weekly frequencies on Tuesdays and Fridays, departing at 7:15am and...

Right now their routes to and from Mexico City are ARAJET’s biggest money maker.

Surprisingly, the flights to Guatemala and San Salvador are doing well compared to the rest.

Right now their routes to and from Mexico City are ARAJET’s biggest money maker.

Surprisingly, the flights to Guatemala and San Salvador are doing well compared to the rest.

At the beggining thats normal, there are some routes that are not strong, some with less potential and some other with big competition like Aruba, Curacao and San Martin, the rest of the routes are going that bad, in the next months will be a balance and sales will increas. They are getting ready also to have conecting flights so that will help. Another thing to keep in mind it's that they started the sales on August 8th like 37 days before launch their inagural flight and that is not good timing for sales in some routes.

Good thing is that they are ULC, the key to get best prices is plan on time your trip and travel light.
