Oh, about location of this nuclear power plant(s), put them close to the border with Haiti.

It is not feasible or logical for this country to support the costs of a nuclear power plant and all its baggage. A 1,000 MW nuclear plant would cost between $6 billion and $10 billion. A 1,000 MW wind farm costs between $1.6 billion - $1.75 billion.

Nuclear power plant in a country that is not known for construction quality and quite a few tremors each year ? then there's the question of storage of nuclear waste _securely_ too. I dont think the US will allow this

The DR is a sovereign nation and will do as it desires. The US can only advise. Nuclear power operation in the DR is not practical. Its government knows it.

feasibility calculations, spot on. Where is the report from the imports of fuels to generate electricity here? Your response is admired and pertinent to the studies.
Once upon a time I put micro hydro electric generators in the hands of individuals. The output of each was not much but did take some alternators out of the automobile junkyards.
