    Um, MEX=Benito Juarez Airport, Mexico City Sounds like you flew SDQ-MIA-CUN Cancun is eastern Mexico and just below Florida. Doesn't make sense to have to change planes in Mexico City which is center-west.

    also known as ZONA T. Andino Mall and fine upscale dining. COPA is the best airline for The Americas. Be aware of the temperature difference! went from 35 C to 10 C, had to ask hotel manager for a heater! sadly, Colombia currently requires vaccine card for entry.

    Always fully comply with immigration laws of ANY country. They can arrest and deport you anytime!!! Mexico used to be easy-loosey until the Caravans Invasions started. Interior Roadblocks, Long distance buses checks, etc. Now they don't even give Tourists the full 180 days automatically...

    Wonder if there is a time limit to recover your residency if you change your mind? Panama now has a procedure with 5-year limit to recover, since starting to enforce the 2-year out of country rule (Heard the only DR rule is 1-year if you want to naturalize)

    Um, in that case you are officially a Tourist then? I always renew late, got sent to Foreigner line (back then) as well as buy the $10 card (Now included with airfare - I don't claim refund as its so small, consider it a donation to help the DR. On the other hand, Mexico is $40 and airlines...

    Banks always ask me for passport, probably the ultimate form of identification (for foreigners) No problem with expired cedula at hotel or claro
