Thank you. The only one who actually read my post carefully and understood what I was asking. I will visit INPOSDOM and ask them for details then.

Selling something on Ebay from DR, how do you ship it?

If you want to sell something on Ebay or similar sites, how do you ship it to US? Dominican courier companies are one way from there to here, UPS/DHL/FedEx have exorbitant prices even for small/lightweight packages, what else? EMS at INPOSDOM, anybody has any experience with them, are they...

Woman survives retainer wall collapse; begins to tell her story

It probably depends more on how you look like. No hospital will reject a white foreigner or a white Dominican who looks rich. They may ask for some deposit, but they will do all treatment needed and then hold him/her as a hostage until he or somebody else pays all the bills. But for an average...

Woman survives retainer wall collapse; begins to tell her story

Actually, the medical service in private clinics here in DR is better than in some first world countries, but first responders and emergency services is a different story. Normally you don't wait for an ambulance here, you get into any car you can find (even in a cargo box of the pickup truck)...

Woman survives retainer wall collapse; begins to tell her story

There's a Hospital Central de las Fuerzas Armadas nearby, there are always some ambulances there and they could arrive in 10 minutes or less, if they wanted to. Every day I see them driving with sirens and lights on on av. Ortega y Gasset with crazy speed and maneuvers, and sometimes AMET is...

Woman survives retainer wall collapse; begins to tell her story

They will accept you but you have to make a deposit in cash or by credit card. For example, back in 2009 the deposit asked from me to be taken to intensive care right from the emergency room and then hospitalized without any insurance was 10,000 pesos. I have no idea how much they ask now...

    Skin surgeon in Santo Domingo?

PCMike, please give me contacts of that doctor at Cedimat, I've sent you a PM not sure if you have seen it. I tried to google her with no results, calling Cedimat is a waste of time (listened to automatic menu for 15 minutes jumping from one option to another), it could help a lot if you give me...

    Skin surgeon in Santo Domingo?

My Spanish is OK but something tells me that all 4 have no idea what MOHS means and that this MOHS thing is non-existent in DR. But I will check. Actually, first I want to visit a doctor that PCMike recommended, and also ask her if such thing as MOHS exists here at all, if not I have to do it...

AlterEgo, you said you had that MOHS surgery three times, was at least one of them in DR?

    Skin surgeon in Santo Domingo?

Does she speak English? If you don't mind to give some details, was your surgery done in her office or in a surgery room, under local anesthesia or how? As I understand, as a new forum member I'm not able to send a PM to you, but maybe you could answer me by PM, if you don't want to post details...

    Skin surgeon in Santo Domingo?

This page shows four plastic surgeons, nothing said about any of them being the MOHS surgeons, so I doubt they have that machine to examine the edges you talked about. I doubt anybody has that machine here to examine it right on the spot during the surgery. How they do it here is they take it...

    Skin surgeon in Santo Domingo?

That's a good point, you said you had that MOHS surgery three times, was it in DR?

    Skin surgeon in Santo Domingo?

Just to clarify, I am not talking about plastic surgery, I need a dermatologist who performs surgeries too, to remove a carcinoma from the skin. The one I have to remove needs to be removed surgically, not by laser or other methods, so I need a doctor who really knows what he's doing.

Stable Cryptocurrencies to Dominican Bank USD account?

Some years ago I would say that if the US based company can't cut me a paper check, that's a shady company I don't want to deal with. Unfortunately, now things have changed a lot, and not the best way in my opinion, but I have to learn how to deal with it.

Stable Cryptocurrencies to Dominican Bank USD account?

Hello people. Actually, the thread name pretty much says it all. I live in DR and I work online, and for many years I received my checks via FedEx and deposited them to my Banco Popular USD account. Unfortunately, good things never last forever, and now the company I work for can pay only in...
