    driving mid day from Santo Domingo to Las Terrenas

    we arrive at airport at noon and think the best and easiest way to get to Las Terrenas is to rent a car- not keen on a flight to Puerto Plata and THEN a 3 hour drive.Can nayone give REALLY good directions? orbetter alternative. Thx
