Thomascook.com have quite a good deal.......I booked a flight for Jan 2009 costing 442 British pounds which is good for the DR.....i paid 100 deposit with the balance required 12 weeks before the flight....... Obviously if you cancel you lose the 100,all other airlines i checked were over 550...

Hi people.....I will be visiting DR for 2 weeks in Jan 2009 and will be staying in Sosua,i like to have a good look around wherever i travel therefore i would like to venture inland to more rural areas/mountains etc......would i be best to hire a car?...use local guide?....tour operator etc...
