As the DR gets 100's of 1000's visitors each year who in your opinions are most welcome back and why? Who would you prefer stayed away and why? Please also state if you are a DR national or expat (incl orginal nation)

My mobile phone provider says I will have coverage when in the DR, I will be taking (Quad Band) mobile of course only for emergencys and 'post cards' by text message! has anyone travelling from th UK taken a Mobile phone? Would like to hear some experiences from UK travellers?
