I am leaving for the DR on 2/21/01, arriving in Las Americas Airport with a destination of Independencia Avenue near the Colonial City. Is there a public bus leaving the airport and heading into Santo Domingo? Estimated fare?

be cautious and take a taxi you will safer, Since you do not know where you are going you do not want to be a easy target upon your arrival.
