Taxi rate - Boca Chica to The Colonial Zone

Its been a while since I've done it but I would think around 50 pesos would get you a bus ride into the capitol. Once you're over the river, get off most anywhere and grab a local cab. 200 pesos should be more than enough to get you anywhere in the colonial zone. I doubt you'll find a cab all the way for less than U$20 and that will take some shopping.

From Boca Chica to Colonial Zone should be around 800pesos - 23US$ ish.
Curiously from Colonial Zone back to Boca Chica is around 1000pesos - 27US$ish.
I guess this is because people in the Colonial zone are regarded as having more money than people in Boca Chica??

That is what I have paid over the last year or so. I hope I am not getting ripped off too badly.

To follow up, when I stay in the background and have my girlfriend (Dominicana) do the negotiation the price is around 20 bucks. When I try to get a decent price by myself it's more like thirty.
