Does anyone have a link for how you can get to more out of the way places using the bus system? I'm not big on driving in the DR and I'd like to get away from the more touristy areas. The only thing I really care about is getting hotels with minimal standards.
Also any recommendations for places to go that are off the beaten track? I like towns between 10,000 and 25,000 with some nightlife. Not so interested in places like PP with the blue smoke in the air all the time from the moto-conchos. It would be nice to get into the mountains next time.
