via San Jose de las Matas?

A friend of mine has invited me to join his group to climb Pico Duarte leaving from San Jose de las Matas on 12/27. There will be a 1 1/2 mules per person. One to ride, 1/2 for cargo.

I have used the board to search but have not found too much on this route. This is my 1st Pico Duarte trip, so any advice is welcome.

There is a lot here on Pico Duarte...just keep searching...

RE: Camping Tours. Just let me say that there is probably no better outfit for the job. I knew the founder and his wife and I taught the daughter. These are "quality people" who have a deep respect for the environment and know how to run these tours.

This trip is in my Bucket List...

Roberto is on facebook and anyone can ask him for information, He is also very good, he's involved with the Scouts of San Jose de las Matas and is involved with the trips....so he knows the area very well.
