I was in Sosua on a Saturday night in September 2010. I was standing in front of Sosua Life and I heard a gunshot. I see the girls behind the Sosua Life Bar hiding under the bar, then I heard some commotion coming out of Disco Latinas and 30 people ran out the disco. Another 20 people ran out the disco five minutes later and another shot rang out within that 2nd crowd further down the street.
Now, I was looking for the police to run to the scene but there was not a cop in sight. Thirty minutes later the police arrived in a big truck and started loading every Haitian they can find on the truck and took them away. The Haitians had nothing to do with the gun fire, but was rounded and carted off.
A kid standing outside Sosua Life said this happens every Saturday night.
