return flight 12hrs after check out on last day ??

Is this normal and what would we do after the daytime check out....... we would have 10 hrs to kill, no food/no water etc

Booked with Sunquest to Dominican Punta Canta Thomas Cook Airlines down , 7 nights Dec 27 - Jan 3rd , but return flight is not leaving Dominican until almost midnight on the 3rd?

what do we do for 10 hours that day?

any advice would be greatly apprecited... email is in to SUNQUEST, I'm now realizing they should have explained to us what happens in this case our flight down is only 11hrs away
