Coral Hamaca??

Hey Everybody:

I'm planning a trip in April to the Coral Hamaca in Santo Domingo, DR.
Does anybody have anything good or bad to say about it?
Any input would be great.

I have stayed there many times I would rate the hotel about a 3 the food is always good,the rooms are okay, nothing special,just don't let then give you a room over the disco you won't be able to sleep,the people that work there are very friendly,the hotel is close to Santo domingo, many things to see there.For the money you pay it is a good value.

I havent been there but I will be on the island from the 5th to the 15th of april and will be staying at the hamaca on tuesday. I am basically hotel hopping. I have been to the Coral Canoa and it is SOOOOOO NICE! It is not a big hotel building with a beach and pool back yard. It is more like a campus with the rommos spread about the campus. Restaurants and bars all about.

The Hamaca is the largest, "fanciest" and nicest resort in Boca chica. They have the Only Casino and most popular Disco in the town, these facilities are open to and used by other hotels and locals alike.

It is a really beautiful property with a great beach, huge pool and well appointed rooms.

Food is good as far as Hotel standards in the DR, don't expect the Four Seasons but I'm sure you will be happy with the cuisine

DON'T buy the story that it is dangerous to venture into tow, it is not and you will miss 90% of the flavor of local life if you fail to do so.

I will be staying at the Hamaca from April 13-21. When will you be there? I am travelling from Toronto with my husband and 2 teenage boys.

I think that you may be departing on the airplane I arrive on.
I am leaving on the 21st, returning on the 28th, also leaving from T.O.
