As some of you may know, we email the Daily News 5 days a week and the Travel News once a week. Plus we periodically have mailings for advertisers etc.
All our emails are double opt-in, meaning you need to confirm your email address before it's added to our database.
We never sell our subscriber lists and to date, never had a spam complaint against us. We are whitelisted by most major ISP's and have pretty good deliverability.
Currently we have 17,940 Travel News and 14,567 Daily News subscribers.
Some days we get 70+ subscribers, other days 15. On average 10 people unsubscribe daily (see graph below).
Sending 18,000+ emails in one shot is no easy task, so we use software from a company called Active Campaign. Does a great job of managing mailings, low load and generally works like a charm.
